Taylormade - Original Music 

Husband & wife writing team Jay & Kim have been writing beautiful music together for 13 years, however their writing experience predates the "Taylormade" original songs we play at gigs today.  Here are a few words from them both describing their writing experience and influences. 

Kim - "I've been writing since I was in high school, influenced by my Mom who wrote poetry.  As a little girl my Mom & I would sing at bed time, making a game of who could hold the longest note and making up words to ryhme .  As I got older I became influenced by strong female artists like Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton and of course classics like Whitney Houston and the fun element of Madonna.  My writing is influenced through experience, either my own or through the eyes of others.  Jay and I are yin and yang writers, we work perfectly bringing light and dark together creating thought evoking fun projects."

Jay - "I started writing when I was 12 years old with big influences from the Beatles and Oasis.  I then honed in my own sound through years of playing in various bands, for pleasure and lots of writing .  My writing style would be to find some chords I liked and to sing whatever came to me at the time.  Upon meeting Kim, our style of writing merged perfectly with Kim becoming more of the lyricist, I would come up with the music to her lyrics or vice versa which produces the original music of Taylormade."
